“We hired Convert Extend UK to build a kitchen extension, new cloakroom and utility room for our 1920s semi. This involved first demolishing an old utility room and toilet and taking down a chimney before extending out across the entire width of the house on new foundations. New floors had to be laid as the old one was far from level and new ceilings constructed in the older remaining part of the kitchen as well as the new. Steve visited every day to make sure things were on track and we always knew what was coming next and how long it might take. He was able to call on a network of professionals like plasterers, bricklayers, plumbers, electricians etc and made sure that each was available just when needed. He was also a source of excellent advice based on many years in the business and many similar builds. We were always consulted about major options, obviously, like choice of doors and veluxes, etc as well as smaller items like lights and sockets. If we asked for changes, there was rarely a problem. The entire team worked hard and skilfully and were always friendly and ready to answer any queries. Just as Steve said it would, the job came in on time on budget and to an excellent standard. We are very pleased with the result.”
